Living history walking tours retracing four pivotal days leading up to and including the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. September 4, 5, 10 and 11, 2016 Tours begin at 4:00 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 4:40 p.m., and 5:00 p.m.

Living history walking tours on the grounds of ‘Iolani Palace retracing four pivotal days leading up to and including the overthrow of the Hawaiian Monarchy
Tours at 4:00 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 4:40 p.m., & 5:00 p.m.
Meet in front of the Hawai‘i State Library
Chanters perform mele from this historic period that express adoration of Queen Lili‘uokalani and the concerns and unrest aroused by the overthrow. Chanting performances September 4 at 3:30 pm and September 11 at 6:15 pm.
Native Hawaiian scholars on hand at the end of each walking tour to answer questions and provide additional historical context.
Pacific Tongues performances of contemporary poems on Native Hawaiian issues, identity, the future.
